Enigma and Enigma Catalyst

Wanted to share some final thoughts on the Enigma and Catalyst Project. I’m going to cover the hack and recent increase in cap as well.
Enigma is a decentralized data marketplace protocol and Catalyst is  a platform that enables anyone to start their own crypto hedge fund. We talked about both Enigma and Catalyst and its first real life application: financial data marketplace, Catalyst empowers users to share and curate data and build profitable, data-driven investment strategies.

If we give someone $50,000 to fund his company, he will be really grateful, but he'll also have no choice but to continue to work hard to reap a respectable fortune down the road. If you give that same person $50,000,000, what do you think will happen? Even if he started out as a diligent guy with the best of intentions, you gave him $50,000,000! When he turns on his computer the following morning, do you really think he'll be saying to himself, "Well I gotta earn that money, time to roll up my sleeves and get to work!" No. He's going to be on the Lamborghini site choosing leather options.

"Full disclosure, I may or may not be participating in Engima crowdsale" Lol, well which is it?! Full disclosure != may or may not be. (I'm kidding, just found this funny. We all knew what you meant) Thanks for your videos!

I have been scammed sending my funds and I am still waiting for Enigma to refund me which I think it will never happen. These guys talk about security and the first thing that happens to them is they get hacked! This Enigma project is basically a big scam!

Be careful of this one. Their support sucks. Hscking and security issue's. They were asleep, not a good sign. Unexpected 50% increase in hard cap is a red flag and lowers potential upside significantly. Avoid!

the only problem is not selling more tokens, the problem is not giving a reason why and assign a extra $7.5Million to the Enigma team (not for crowdsale). They could have increased the tokens to be sold without increasing their profit.

I wanted to participate but ETH being so low atm it doesnt make sense. Think of it, they will lock ETH price tomorrow so it will be like 280 USD for 1 ETH, your tokens will be locked for a month. ETH will recover from this dip to 350-400 range AND probably rise even further cause Metropolis is just around the corner of end of september/october. So you lose value right from the start. I will hold my ETH and buy ENG off exchange.

Ethereum could probably do what they are planning to do easily probably anytime they want. This has very limited scope and you do not have to graduate from MIT to be smart.

"Full disclosure: I may or may not be participating in the Enigma sale." – Not sure that is any type of disclosure what so ever and is the same as not disclosing anything at all. A statement of "I plan to participate and have put aside tokens but have not committed as the sale has not started" or "I'm leaning on <whichever direction>" or "I'll let y'all know if I bought in when I the sale opens" or even "I have done the work of registration to be on the white list" would all be a little more disclosure IMO than what you've said at the end there.

BTW, full disclosure: I am in tier 1 and plan to fully buy my allotment. I do feel it's risky and has had a number of missteps leading up to the ICO, but other wins (OMG early on the exchanges and 0x ICO) have enabled and emboldened me to take larger risks.

Some of these ICO's are going to completely fail, maybe not even finishing the project and they're not going to care. They'll just happily walk away with a sh*tload of money that the was rasied from the ICO.

I was going to participate in this originally but not anymore. The owners simply changed the cap so they can purchase a couple of more lambos and retire early. Doesn't seem very professional to me.

I'm interested in Enigma. However it is definitely sketchy that they changed their terms at the last minute before the ICO. I think the privacy part of it all is promising in terms of making it stand out and being unique to all the others out there, but I will need more information before I make my mind up for certain.
